Likdon Stanzin is a 33 old man who studied computer science and is also trek guide in the summer.He is now in his village of Skiagam and his family and his friend are preparing the wedding of Likdon with Karma a young woman of the village of Tzara.Some people yak excrement (a good combustible), other people are preparing food (bread) and beverages (the famous chang, fermented barley beverage).Then the messengers (nyopas) have arrived at the village: these messengers will travel to the village of the bride and bring her to Skiagam, they wear special costumes and travel by bus.At each village the people receive the messengers, they give them chang or arak (a stronger beverage), they sing and dance.After a large journey they arrive at the village of the bride.They must stay outside of the house of the family of the bride.Then the messengers of the bride begin a type of challenge: they sing a song and the messengers of the broom have to contest with a song.Finally they may inter in the house, the bride is veiled and is among a group women under a blanket.The messengers of the broom must guess who is the bride.All the night people drink chang.On the morning the messengers of Likdon come back with Karma (always veiled) and an aunt of Karrma. At Skiagam a Buddhist monk receive the bride with dances.Under a great tent Likdonb and Karma are presented to the families.Theen they visit the grandfather of Likdon, again food, chang and dance.A Buddhist monk bless the the broom and the bride.In the night about 600 people of the village are invited to eat ,drink and dance.On the next day Likdon will travel with Karma to the village of Karma.
